Kythira is a medium-sized island, with a dense road network, mostly paved. Of course there are still a few dirt roads, which in very few cases are relatively impassable. During your stay on the island, in case you do not have your own means of transport, the local bus is available during the tourist season, with routes along the main road axis of the island.
