Kalami beach

Private beach for demanding people!
Kalami beach is located in the center-west of Kythira, and is a small beach. It consists of pebbles and some sand. The access is from the traditional village of Mylopotamos, heading towards the monastery of Panagia Orphani, through a wonderful route between cedars and wonderful natural scenery. There is limited car parking at the monastery. Around the center of the bay of the beach there is a sunken cannon which is an attraction.
The beach in the summer season does not have a basic organization. It is located at the end of a steep and precipitous canyon, and access to it requires the descent of a narrow cliff path, which for some is difficult, suitable hiking shoes are recommended. Not recommended for families with small children and the elderly. The walking time from the monastery is about 15 to 20 minutes. It attracts more young ages.
