The unique traditional villages of Kythira!

The capital city of Kythira is built on a hill next to the large Venetian castle, with a panoramic view of three seas. In the center and west of the island, the traditional village of Mylopotamos with the natural location of Myloi, with running water, stone arched bridges and traditional watermills, which is one of the most visited attractions on the island. In Kato Chora settlement of Mylopotamos there is the Venetian castle of Kato Chora.
In the center of the island we find the traditional village of Aroniadika with houses influenced by the two main styles of architecture of the island, Peloponnese and Cretan, nearby and with similar architecture is Potamos, one of the largest villages in Kythira. In the north of the island is the traditional village of Karavas built amphitheatrically on hills between which there is a lake with water and plane trees.
